How to Apply
If the Nursing Program sounds interesting, here's what to do:
- Review the general Nursing Program information, which includes prerequisite information and program model schedules.
- Complete an and select one of the following nursing programs: Pre-Associate Degree Nursing (ADN), Pre-Practical Nursing (PN), or Pre-Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) for LPN (current Michigan license required for the Completion Option). A secondary admission is required for all three programs.
- To transfer prerequisites taken at other colleges, please send official transcripts to:

Traverse City, MI 49686 - If you have attended a previous school of nursing, a letter of good standing from the college's Director of Nursing is required. It may be sent to Betsy Boris, Director of Nursing and Allied Health, at bboris@nmc.edu.
- Attend orientation and register for classes.
- Once your prerequisites are complete, you may apply to the nursing program of your choice. You may contact Betsy Boris (bboris@nmc.edu), Director of Nursing & Allied Health, to make inquiries regarding eligibility if you are unsure of your status.
- To apply to the Associate Degree Nursing Program, please access the secondary application via MyNMC. You will find the application under Self-Service and then Admissions. The application is open during the following timeframes:
- April 1 - June 1 for Fall semester admission consideration
- August 1 - October 1 for Spring semester admission consideration
- Admission to the ADN program is competitive and points are awarded based on this rubric. The top 40 applicants are admitted each semester.
- To be considered for the Practical Nursing Program, please submit the following form once all prerequisites are completed:

- Students must complete the HESI A2 Admission Exam to be eligible for admission to any Nursing Program. It is available in the Osterlin Testing Center.
